  • Significance:

* According to the Rigveda and Ganesha Purana, invoking Lord Ganesha removes negativity and blesses devotees with intellect (buddhi) and prosperity. He is the symbol of new beginnings and purity of mind.

  • How to Perform:

* Begin with cleansing the space and lighting a lamp.

* Offer durva grass, modaks, and fresh flowers.

* Chant the mantra "Om Gan Ganapataye Namah" 108 times.

* End with aarti and distribution of prasad.

  • Best Time:

* Ganesh Chaturthi and every Chaturthi Tithi (fourth day after Amavasya).
