Tripindi Shradh Puja
Tripindi Shradh is one of the most specialized and rarely performed ancestral rituals in the Vedic tradition, and that rarity itself speaks to its importance. It is prescribed specifically when three or more consecutive generations of a family have passed away without receiving proper Shradh rites, or when Shradh has been neglected for three or more years. In such cases, the ordinary Pitru Tarpan or annual Shradh is no longer sufficient. The accumulated spiritual debt requires the complete Tripindi ceremony.
The word Tripindi literally means three Pindas, the sacred rice balls offered to three generations of ancestors simultaneously. When families in Kothrud, Hadapsar, or Wakad come to us with reports of persistent misfortune spanning multiple generations, recurring illness across family branches, or difficulty with progeny, Tripindi Shradh is often the ritual that brings lasting relief.
